Every Bella Vista motel offers two specifically designed accessible rooms. These rooms cater to travellers with mobility impairments or disabilities and include a range of features:
- Step-free or flat entryways, ensuring smooth access from outside the unit.
- Wider door frames to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
- Spacious interior layout. This allows for 360-degree wheelchair turning and unrestricted movement within the room.
- Secondary beds if required for a support person or travelling companion
These rooms are always located on the ground floor generally close to the motel reception.
Accessible Bathrooms with Enhanced Facilities
Each accessible unit is equipped with a purpose-built bathroom to meet the needs of those with limited mobility. The key features include:
- Wet-floor or roll-in showers. These open-design showers remove the need to step over a ledge, reducing fall risks.
- Grab rails beside toilets and inside showers, strategically placed for added stability.
- Wall-mounted shower seats or space for portable stools. Many units provide either a built-in seat or sufficient space for users to bring their own.
- Hand-held showerheads. Positioned for easy reach and adjustability.
- Non-slip flooring. Enhancing safety in wet environments.
These features are thoughtfully incorporated to ensure safety, independence, and dignity during a guest’s stay.

Dedicated Accessible Parking Spaces
At all Bella Vista locations, accessible (mobility) parking spaces are situated close to unit entrances or reception areas. These designated parking bays are clearly marked and typically offer extra space on both sides, making vehicle entry and exit easier for those using wheelchairs or mobility aids. The flat or gently sloped paths from these bays lead directly to rooms or the motel’s reception area, ensuring barrier-free access.
