Welcome to Bella Vista Greymouth, we look forward to looking after you during your stay with us. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories about where they’ve been and where they are going. Long time Greymouth locals, Jenny and Graham bought Bella Vista Greymouth in 2025. Graham was previuosly a senior engineer at Westfleet while Jenny works at Te Whatu Ora in Greymouth. Along with our experienced team, we look forward to offerring you our knowledge of this beautiful part of New Zealand so you can get the maximum benefit of your time in Greymouth.
Greymouth, West Coast, Your Destination
Greymouth is on State Highway 6, which connects it with Hokitika in the South and Westport in the north. It is the largest town on the West Coast, making it the perfect place to base yourself for a few days.
We love living on the Coast! There is never a shortage of things to see and do. We have many natural landmarks right on our doorstep – the Pancake Rocks, beautiful rainforest walks, and the bike trail which begins right in the heart of Greymouth. The Monteith’s Brewery is also popular for tourists and locals alike.
Home of the famous West Coast Whitebait Fritter, a must experience when on the Coast!
There are many local restaurants & cafes to relax in. The world famous TranzAlphine train departs daily, where you can travel to Christchurch, stay the night and then retune to resume your stay on the West Coast!

- We have recycling bins in all our rooms and encourage our guests to use these.
- We have soap dispensers in our bathrooms to reduce wastage.
- We have installed energy efficient lighting inside and outside the rooms.
- We donate all old linen and unwanted clothing items to our local charity shops.
- We buy locally whenever possible to reduce transport emissions.
- Our energy supplier buys from renewable generation resources like hydro and wind.
- New heaters are more energy efficient.
- We are members of the Astro Weka Programme which recycles plastics into concrete.
